Karoline Stroeher - Vocals - Flute - Organ
Karoline came in contact with the world of church music
during her childhood in Bad Münstereifel,
where she was born and has been growing up.
Later, she proceeded to study church music
in Aachen, where she obtained her degree.

During the following years, she raised her two daughters
and, at the same time, she and her husband
at the time founded a private music school in Hessen.
There she devoted herself to a variety of tasks,
her main focus being with teaching children, youths and adults
(piano, flute, recorder, MFE, …).
It has always been especially important to her to awaken the desire in everyone, either in groups or individually to play music.
During this time, she also gathered experience in playing in ensembles, such as choirs and school orchestras.

After a change in her private life, a similar change in her career became more and more acute, and so it came to be (what a coincidence) that in 2007, she began to work with Lex van Someren.

Her work with Lex is especially gratifying because it closes a circle for her. "Back to the roots", so to speak, even if - or because - Lex van Someren's music is different than her musical roots, she finds it a marvelous enrichment that opens her to complete new dimensions. For Karoline, music is always an expression of praise for God and, in her opinion, cannot be pressed into a style that is oriented with assessment or judgement.

She is open for every form of music, though her favourite styles are Celtic, folklore, and old music.

At this point, two quotations are appropriate:

"The holiness of church music, the cheerfulness and playfulness of folk music are the two pivots about which true music revolves. At these two points it always displays an unfailing effect: devotion or dancing."
Goethe

"Music is my religion. There'll be music in the hereafter too."
Jimi Hendrix
